sword drawing which are performed from the seated position known as
seiza. The hidden meanings behind the techniques, and the applications of the techniques are explained and illustrated in dramatised form,making this video a must for the serious exponent of Iaido. The techniques shown were introduced into Muso Shinden Ryu by Omori Rokurozaemon in the early 17th century. The seated position of the techniques comes from the formal seated posture of Ogasawara Ryu Sea Reiho (seated etiquette for formal occasions). |
